ART of TAMBOV

Boris Tkachev was born on February 22, 1957 in the town of Znamenka in the Tambov region.

The year of entry into the Union of Artists is 1995.

He recieved the artistic education at Penza Art College K.A. Savitskogo [1975-1979].

 

"Count S.G.Stroganov personally opened drawing school in Moscow in 1825 that is now famous as Stroganov School.
The son of Count Stroganov (Pavel Stroganov) takes
possession of the estate Znamenskoye-Karian in Tambov province, where a hundred years later I had the good fortune to be born in a family of rural teachers. The school was located in the former mansion of the count. As for me, Znamenka is a special place wich is named in honor of the Church. It keeps the memory of many prominent people of that era. Natalia Goncharova was born and baptized here. Fyodor Vasilyev and Sergei Rachmaninoff admired the old Count's park. This connection with the past, its cultural traditions inspired me to create a series of works which are lyrical and a bit sad. There I spent my childhood.
As a landscape painter, I has been close to the traditions of Russian realistic art.
When I was a student at the Penza Art School I was constantly drawing sketches. Love of nature and professionalism are prerequisites for a productive work. There is no creativity without a personal relationship to the landscape.
This is the real happiness of the artist when he or she can observe nature, that surrounds us, in a special way and  penetrate the innermost!"

Boris Tkachev was awarded the diploma
VTOO "Union of Russian Artists" for the work "Fog at sunrise".

 

"I think it is the most valuable of my awards."

 

Tkachev received the Award of Tambov Region (A.M.Gerasimova) in 2005.
