ART of TAMBOV

Nikolay Gavrilovich Bogdanov was born on November 16, 1933 in the village of Novo-Hmelevoye in Tambov region.
 

The artist graduated from the Saratov Art College in 1965.

The year of entry into the Union of Artists is 1993.

 

He has been a participant of Tambov exhibitions since 1968.

 

His works are kept in Michurinsk Museum of Local History, the Museum of A.M. Gerasimov, Tambov Museum of Local History, Tambov Art Gallery and the private Russian and foreign collections.

 

Most of his early landscapes are clearly imaginary, although from very early on townscape views are clearly intended to represent actual cities, with varying degrees of accuracy.

 

Various techniques were used to simulate the randomness of natural forms in invented compositions.
